Want to meet some of the knuckleheads that write and draw these comics we force upon you? Well, pardners, you’re in luck … at least if you live in the Midwestern United States or that Canada place, because convention season has started (does it ever end?), and we have our highly trained comic book agents visiting comic book shows and stores aplenty the next few weeks:
- Frequent Omega Comics Presents contributor Dino Caruso will be appearing at Wizard World Toronto Comic Con from March 18 to 20 at the Direct Energy Centre. We’re guessing he’ll have lots of stuff to sell ya. Bring cash, eh?
- That same weekend in Chicago, you can check out more OCP co-conspirators, Russell Lissau and collaborator John Bivens , who will both be guests at this second annual Chicago Comic & Entertainment Expo (lovingly known as C2E2).
- If you haven’t gotten sick of him yet, Lissau will also be appearing — after a month’s delay — at Comix Revolution in Mt. Prospect, Ill., on March 26 from 2 to 4 p.m. with Trevor Mueller to celebrate the release of Hope: The Hero Initiative, which we have nothing to do with, but it’s a great book for a great cause and you should buy a copy now. And if you live near Chicago, go to the signing and have it signed. We’ll bet Lissau will also have a few copies of his contributions to OCP available as well.
That should tide you over for now, yes? Don’t worry, we’ll have more creator appearances to remind you about soon enough. Until then, go order a copy of Omega Comics Presents #4, why don’t ya?
