The penultimate issue of Dan Schkade and Jesse Snavlin’s five-issue, neon-noir comic book series, San Hannibal, is set to hit comic book stores across the globe on Oct. 15, 2014, and this is one you cannot miss! Private detective Ira Avery’s investigation into the disappearance of photojournalist Savannah Loy has uncovered a vile conspiracy among San Hannibal’s political elite, but it looks like his search reached a dead end: his own!
Written and drawn by Schkade with colors and letters by Snavlin, San Hannibal has been winning over fans and critics alike with its mixture of old-school pulp storytelling and cyberpunk visual sensibilities. The Fight for Comics podcast said of San Hannibal that it “doesn’t sound like stuff you’ve heard before. It has that cool, rough poetry to it without feeling cliched.” Blake Hamilton of DestroyTheCyborg wrote that the series “hits all the right notes for me.” And Gregory Burgas of Comics Should Be Good! raves “San Hannibal started strong and has gotten stronger. You’re missing out if you’re not reading it!”
The final issue of San Hannibal, slated for mid-December release, is now available for pre-order at comic book stores everywhere using Diamond code OCT141604.
San Hannibal #4 will be available for $2.99 in print and 99 cents digitally through ComiXology, ComicsPlus and DriveThruComics. To find a comic book store near you, visit comicshoplocator.com or call 1-888-COMIC-BOOK. The comic can also be ordered directly through the Pop! Goes the Icon website.
